Jemez Wrench Co. LLC – Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the mobile automotive services provided by Jemez Wrench Co. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to any individual or entity receiving services (“Customer” or “you”). By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following terms. These terms are designed to protect both parties and ensure safe, transparent, and professional service delivery.
1. Scope of Services
Jemez Wrench Co. offers on-site mobile mechanic services including, but not limited to:
- Vehicle diagnostics
- Scheduled maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, filters, etc.)
- Minor and moderate mechanical repairs
- Emergency roadside assistance (as available)
- Pre-purchase inspections
- Customer consultation and vehicle system education
All services are performed by qualified personnel and in accordance with accepted automotive repair industry standards.
2. Service Appointments & Scheduling
- Appointments must be scheduled in advance via phone, text, email, or our website.
- Appointments are subject to availability, geographic coverage, weather, and safety conditions.
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Appointments canceled or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee, at our discretion.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments in the event of unsafe weather, parts delays, or location-related complications.
3. Estimates, Pricing & Payment
- Estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time. They may change if additional work, parts, or time is required upon inspection.
- Customers will be notified and must approve any increase in scope or cost before additional work is performed.
- All payments are due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods:
- Cash
- Credit/debit card
- Digital platforms (Zelle, Cash App, etc.)
- Jobs involving special-order parts or repairs over $500 may require a deposit of 25–50% in advance.
- Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur late fees and be subject to collections.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a safe, legal, and successful service visit, the Customer is responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the vehicle is parked in a safe, legal, and accessible area with level ground, adequate working space, and safe clearance around the vehicle.
- Ensuring the work site is free from hazards, including but not limited to:
- Unstable terrain, mud, ice, or flooding
- Proximity to traffic or unsafe road shoulders
- Loose pets, aggressive animals, or unsafe persons on-site
- Dangerous environmental conditions (fire risk, extreme temperatures, etc.)
- Granting permission to work on the vehicle and access any necessary areas (engine bay, cab, trunk, etc.).
- Securing any personal belongings within or around the vehicle.
- Notifying us in advance if the vehicle has been modified, lowered/lifted, or has any conditions that may affect access or service.
Note: Jemez Wrench Co. provides all necessary tools and brings its own lighting and equipment for service. However, unsafe or inaccessible environments may result in rescheduling or refusal of service.
5. Diagnostics, Recommendations & Customer-Supplied Parts
- Diagnostic service charges are non-refundable and are billed even if no repairs are completed.
- Customers are provided with a summary of diagnostic findings and recommended repairs.
- If the Customer declines repairs, Jemez Wrench Co. is not responsible for continued drivability, damage, or safety issues.
- We do not guarantee or warrant the installation or performance of customer-supplied parts. Such parts are installed at the Customer’s own risk.
- Labor warranties may be voided when using customer-supplied or used parts.
6. Warranties
- Jemez Wrench Co. provides a 90-day limited labor warranty on qualifying repairs performed with new parts supplied by the Company.
- Parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, when applicable.
- This warranty does not cover:
- Wear-and-tear items (e.g., brake pads, filters, belts)
- Used, customer-supplied, or remanufactured parts
- Failures due to abuse, neglect, racing, or misuse
- Issues resulting from repairs performed by others after our service
- Vehicle systems outside of our scope of work
- Warranty service must be performed by Jemez Wrench Co. unless otherwise authorized.
- Warranty claims must be made within the stated time frame and may require inspection and documentation.
7. Liability Limitations
- Jemez Wrench Co. is not liable for:
- Pre-existing conditions, mechanical failures, or damage present prior to our work
- Loss or damage to personal belongings left in or near the vehicle
- Failure or malfunction of unrelated vehicle systems
- Any delays due to third-party suppliers, weather, or uncontrollable circumstances
- We reserve the right to decline or terminate service if working conditions become unsafe or if expectations cannot be met reasonably.
8. Emergency & Roadside Assistance
- Emergency service requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to technician availability.
- Additional fees may apply for after-hours calls, off-road recoveries, and distant service locations.
- We do not tow vehicles, but we can assist in coordinating towing through a third-party provider. Any towing arrangements are the Customer’s financial responsibility.
9. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service under any of the following circumstances:
- Unsafe or inaccessible vehicle/work environment
- Hostile, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior
- Discovery of illegal vehicle modifications or hazardous materials
- Repeated failure to pay, cancel responsibly, or follow reasonable expectations
10. Privacy Policy
Jemez Wrench Co. is committed to protecting your privacy. Information you provide (name, contact info, vehicle history) is used solely to deliver services, process payments, and maintain customer records. Your data will never be sold or shared without your written consent, except as required by law.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico. Any legal action or dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Los Alamos County, New Mexico.
12. Acknowledgment & Agreement
By requesting, scheduling, or receiving services from Jemez Wrench Co., you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understand these Terms and Conditions
- You are authorized to approve work on the vehicle
- You agree to be bound by this Agreement
